Antonia Brooks
An early spring posey of Hellebores and Narcissi arranged in a small white pot. Cool purples, pinks and blues give a sense of the time of year.
"Art has always been my passion. Although I initially chose a career in the City, I have always kept creativity at the heart of my life through life drawing, pastel portraiture and, more recently, training as a garden designer.
I later completed a foundation course at The London Fine Art Studios, where I was introduced to oil painting. Living in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, I find endless inspiration for my landscape paintings on daily walks, while holidays in North Cornwall provide a wealth of dramatic seascapes and coastal scenes that I love to capture in both oils and soft pastels.
Alongside landscapes, I also enjoy painting animal portraits. Working mainly in soft pastels, I create vibrant, expressive head studies that capture the character and spirit of each animal, whether it is a dog, cat, horse or even a sheep."
