"I am primarily a painter in oils of traditional still life, working always from life. After a fine art degree from Reading in 1966 I went on to work as graphic and exhibition designer. I began exhibiting paintings in 1979, and have since shown work regularly at the ROI, SWA, RWA and Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, where I was elected a full member in 2007. I have also exhibited in several private galleries in London and the South, and established a successful gallery in Lymington which ran for 8 years, after which I returned to painting full time."

"I won first prize in the Salisbury Small Pictures exhibition in 2004 and was shortlisted for Artists and Illustrators Artists of the Year in 2019 (now the British Art Prize). The Artistmagazine ran an article about my still life work in November 2015."
