Stane, the Scots word for stone, is a collection inspired by Scotland’s rugged coastline and weathered stone architecture. Formed through undulating silhouettes, each vessel bears the imprint of erosion and endurance.

Stane presents a palette of dark ash greys, weathered browns, and buff beiges, with traces of off-whites, all derived from the artist’s photographic research into the Scottish landscape and architectural elements.

Surfaces are textured with traces of St Andrews sand, lending a raw tactility that echoes the rough beauty and uneven rhythm of the landscape from which the work emerges.

Balancing fragility with strength, Stane series celebrates imperfection as a record of transience, holding a tactile memory of weathered forms shaped not by symmetry or polish, but by persistence, erosion, and natural elements.
