Jamie Lord is a contemporary wildlife artist and sculptor based in Somerset, working across paper, bronze, and layered patinas. Inspired by direct encounters with wildlife, behavioural observation, and conservation, his sculptures capture the character, presence, and individuality of the natural world through meticulous craftsmanship and expressive form. Best known for his innovative paper patina technique, Jamie creates detailed sculptures that celebrate the connection between material, subject, and the wild.

A BA(Hons) Modelmaking graduate from Arts University Bournemouth, Jamie received Best Use of Creative Materials at New Blades London 2023. His work has been exhibited at Sculpture by the Lakes’ FORM exhibition, Delamore Arts, and Cotswold Sculpture Park, and he is represented by Sculpture by the Lakes and Adrian Hill Fine Art. Through collaborations with conservation organisations, he uses sculpture to highlight threatened species and support conservation efforts.

Created from individually hand-cut and painted archival paper feathers, this life-size sculpture captures the moments that often go unnoticed in nature: stillness, awareness, and quiet observation.
