Arran Patel
Arran Patel lives in the village of Great Bedwyn in Wiltshire. Born in 1996, he was raised in Leicester before moving to Birmingham, where he lived for six years and completed a degree in Social Sciences at Aston University. His parents are both orphans and first-generation immigrants from Gujarat, India. His father worked for Walker’s Crisps in Leicester for 47 years, while his mother worked as a union administrator.
Arran’s interest in photography has early roots in visits to Jessops on Leicester High Street with his father to have film developed. In April 2022, inspired by his university friend Joseph Esapa, he bought his first 35mm film camera. Since then, Arran has pursued portraiture, photographing friends and others while living in Birmingham and London.
"Nick is our Postie. He has the natural ability of uplifting people. He puts people at ease, makes people laugh and loves what he does."
Nick: ‘Being a postman suits me as I love being outdoors, enjoy interacting with customers and I never grow bored of the Wiltshire countryside where my family has lived since the 1600s. I grew up in Oare - a village between Marlborough and Pewsey. Great Bedwyn is lovely, it has a lot going for it. There have been so many characters around over the years. Some wonderful memories’
