A hidden path appears and some welcome shade on a hot summers day, in the heart of the Pewsey Vale. The painting leads you through patches of light and shadow towards a vibrant, distant horizon. The glowing pink pulses with warmth, energising the colours and enhancing the feeling of heat in the lush landscape. 

The framing is purposely chosen to reflect the sides of the bright pink canvas further enhancing the sense of warmth. Her paintings invite reflection, urging us to pause and absorb our surroundings, slowing down to appreciate the colours and the harmony of nature around us.

Art flows through every chapter of Emma's story, from her early studies in History of Art and a Fine Art painting degree (1999), through her time working in vibrant gallery spaces, to sharing the magic of creativity with young minds as Head of Art in a primary school. 

This past decade has seen Emma return to her roots in Wiltshire, where she has immersed herself fully in oil painting. The sweeping vistas of the Pewsey Vale and Salisbury Plain offer endless inspiration for both en plein air, studio exploration and commissioned pieces. Emma is inspired by the everyday surroundings of fields, trees and hedgerows focusing on subtle colour variations and observing the contrasts and harmonies within a composition to create a mindful balance of aesthetics. 

Her paintings are carefully considered yet expressively articulated. Emma hopes to evoke a sense of reflection, optimism and calm.

Emma has had two successful solo exhibitions in the past few years.
