"Working primarily in acrylic, oil paint and pastels, I am a landscape painter drawn to the dramatic effects light creates across land, sky and water. The dynamic relationship between landscapes and people is a constant source of inspiration to me, offering endless opportunities to explore colour, light and atmospheric effects. My paintings are bold and expressive, shaped not only by close observation but equally by the memories and emotions that underly and inform them."

"I studied Art History at university, a deep foundation that has informed my fascination with visual language and been instrumental in my continued appreciation of the work of many artists. My career in gallery and museum education has allowed me to share the power of art with others, and in my current role as art tutor I’ve witnessed how deeply transformative creativity through art can be."

"I hope that my paintings offer you the opportunity to pause, reflect, and connect with the natural world. It is an intimate painting of dense woodland vegetation surrounding a pond painted in an impressionistic style using expressive brushstrokes. The vegetation is depicted in the transition between summer and autumn with the colours are captured in all their glory and reflected in the still surface of the pond. You really feel as though you are experiencing standing at the edge of the pond in the tranquil surroundings."
