Richard Pikesley: A Turning Year

Past exhibition
28 November 2025 - 23 January 2026
Richard Pikesley, A Turning Year
An exhibition of recent oil paintings and watercolours by Richard Pikesley RWS PPNEAC.

This collection brings together works that reflect the artists enduring fascination with light and place; from the coastlines and ancient landscapes of Dorset to the woodlands and market towns of Wiltshire, including scenes, recently painted in the Savernake Forest and Marlborough High Street.

For Richard, painting is a conversation with the visual world and starts with painting in front of the subject. It is always a matter of finding equivalents in paint, for light and space and seeing the world 'in paint' continues to be an obsession.

Richard is an artist and author based in Dorset, UK. He was elected to the New English Art Club in 1974 and to the Royal Watercolour Society in 1997.
