Balthazar is a magnificent show horse but his true happiness is to be free in the fields. Here he has reached his contentment. His rider is no longer demanding he is adorned and performing. They are simply friends, enjoying a beautiful day together. The artist has developed a process where the stoneware is high fired then cold treated and gilded, as sculpture would have been adorned for thousands of years.
