A playful collage exploring the human figure through fragments of everyday materials. Soft colour, cardboard and packaging are brought together with bold black shapes, creating movement and structure within the composition. Reflecting Timmy Saville’s fascination with fragments rather than the whole, Figure gives familiar, discarded materials a new visual life, balancing harmony with a characteristic sense of mischief.

Timmy Saville trained at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts, gaining a Diploma in Fine Art and Textiles, followed by an Art Teachers Certificate from the University of London. She taught at Swindon College and was a visiting lecturer at Newport College, Southampton Institute and Cheltenham College of Art. With a 30-year teaching career, her practice encompasses collage, Cubist drawing and life drawing. She continues to work from her studio.
