"This is very loosely based on a sky I saw in Falmouth last summer, I often use palette knives in my paintings but this was a bit different as I stuck to brushes and painted this over a couple of weekends, which is quick for me. I generally paint intuitively and it can take me ages to finish a painting. I particularly like some of the rough, raw marks which I have made on this one and have purposely chosen to leave them in rather than paint over and over them to create something polished, I like the energy here."

"I got back into paint three years ago and am thoroughly enjoying my art journey. I’m mainly work with acrylic paint and inks and love a bit of charcoal too. I enjoy working with bright colours to create colourful seascapes and landscapes. The last three years have been fun and I’ve really enjoyed all the art connections that I have made so far, either locally or further afield via social media, long may this continue."
