Becky Borthwick is a Marlborough-based artist whose love of the outdoors, nature, animals and changing seasons inspires her textile collages and sculptures. Working with fabric, paper and stitch, she intuitively builds layers of texture to create evocative works rooted in the landscape. Becky seeks to capture its memories through small details – the length of stubble, softness of grass or grit of chalk – using layered fabrics to conjure a strong sense of place and atmosphere.
